Opatija, Croatia
The water was practically transparent and the sun was always shining! It's great for families, but I hear the nightlife is good as well! I once again missed out on that last one because this summer was all about family...
Opatija is in northern Croatia on the Adriatic Sea, near the bigger city of Rijeka. From Split down, it's even more beautiful! But the plus side to being in the Northern part of Croatia: they offer day trips to Venice! That's how close it is! :) Another thing: what's strange about the "beaches" in Croatia is that they're rocky and you're almost hanging out on cliffs. There are some pebbly beaches I think. I don't know about you, but I found jumping off the rocks exciting, like I was cliff diving! Definitely hit up Croatia over the summer!
