Some Sepia-Toned Lovin'

Guten abend! Wie gehts? Gut? Ganz toll!

Greetings from Germany! I'm in Hamburg after a jam-packed two days...here it goes...deep breath...and...START!

On the 21st I woke up at 8 AM (after just 3 hours of sleep) to shower and get ready but the weather was disgusting. I worked on my paper, went last minute luggage shopping with my mom and that took so long that I got home an hour before I had planned to leave for the airport.

Finish my paper in half an hour.

Packed in 45 minutes.

Left 25 minutes later than planned.
But it was all good! Made it on time and slept a little on the plane so the 7 hours went by fast.

Landed 20 minutes early.

Layover in Copenhagen: 7 hours (plus 20 minutes).

I took the train into the center of the city and walked around with my carry-on rolly luggage and big bag and camera like a crazy tourist for 3 hours, not knowing where I was going.

Let me tell you...I know Copenhagen like the back of my hand now. =]

Headed back to the airport, got on my flight to Hamburg and here I am! Souvenirs, exhaustion, and MANY sepia photos of Copenhagen. It's such a beautiful city. I was sad that I only had so few hours to explore. But that's ok, I'll just go back again!

I'm heading to Poland in a couple of days for a kayaking/camping trip. No idea how to say it in English but we'll basically be kayaking down river and stopping at night to "sleep" in tents and then do it all over again the next day. I'm excited!!

So, I'm off! I will upload pictures later. I'm EXHAUSTED.

Until next time! :)))))

To be honest, Atlantic City doesn't have much to offer. Don't go there! Haha just kidding...

I'm off to Europe in two days!!!! It's beyond ridiculous how excited I am.

Hamburg, kayaking trip, Krajenka, Prague and Budapest hopefully, and Hamburg to finish. Woohoo!

I still have to finish my paper and pack, ah! So all day today is all about my paper. Why do I hate writing papers when I love writing for no reason at all?! I don't like the pressure I suppose.

Ooo I did find a must-have in Atlantic City: Cavo. It's by the H&M outlet. Delicious crepes and paninis and salads. GO THERE!

Until next time :)))))

I am in Atlantic City!!

The only reasons to come here: national dance competitions and OUTLETS! bought 4 pairs of shoes for under $200 total :)

I'm not a gambler. There's something about it that makes me nervous and anxious. The stress of risking it all isn't exhilerating, but exhausting. I rather take risks where it matters...work, school, love.

My internship at DonorsChoose.org is unfortunately over. The last day, the thought of leaving made me feel the same way I feel when I have to leave Poland at the end of the summer. A mixture of reluctance, home-sickness, and melancholy. Sigh.

But now I have more pressing matters. My paper. I sooner did work stuff, like checking fogbugz, than writing it. And now I'm screwed.

I'm off to be productive. I'll explore AC for the must sees tomorrow when my sister doesn't have 4 dances =\

Until next time! :)))))))

Education is a Treasure! Culture Never Dies!

I know that seems like an odd title but my closest friends will understand it :)

FINALLY! For some reason this site doesn't like me after dark because I have such difficulties opening up the dashboard! How can I write for my millions of fans when the technology is failing?! =P

First off, I have to say: May Michael Jackson rest in peace. He was truly gifted and his music will live on in my memory as a big part of my childhood.

RIP MJ

Now, on to much lighter and happier things!

I have been interning at an amazing non-profit organization that connects philanthropic citizens with teachers in high-need areas all over the country! Any charitable person with access to the internet that would love to help teachers receive resources essential to student development and education, this is the site for you!

It's very simple, just as the tagline says:

We've had support from Stephen Colbert
and the Gates Foundation, and even Michelle
Obama mentioned how wonderful this organization
really is for the students in high-poverty areas in need
of such simple things as pens, paper, crayons and textbooks!

I'm actually at work right now I should probably
get to working on my many projects. I feel like an integral
part of this organization because it has taught me how important
the impact of a person's actions really is. Which is why this site is so great!

Anyone can donate any amount to any proposal that they personally connect with!

I encourage you to check it out :)

Until next time! :)))))))

P.S.-I suggest checking out what the Give-Back Birthday Party is!

I'm in a New York state of minddddddd

Howdy hey everyone! I LOVE NEW YORK CITY! And you will too if you spend a day here doing more than just touristy things. Living here has changed my life! But since you can't just up and move...here are some places to check out!

Tavern on the Green

It's a great restaurant. It looks like you've fallen into another world like in Alice in Wonderland!

Or take a carriage ride! While these poor horses do suffer...

I think taking them for a walk is better than letting them stand around in the heat (if summer ever comes!!)

Or you can get cultured in one of the many museums of New York City... =P

Take a boat ride ont he Hudson River and see the skyline...

and the Statue of Liberty!

I'm excited to take tons of pictures this summer. I'm going to Europe again!!

Until next time :))))))
