Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?

I know the title seems strange but it is indeed a book of Dr. Seuss', I promise! And for reasons unknown to me, it appealed to me. It also made me think of all my wonderful summers spent in Poland. They have lots of cows there :) As I have said already, I plan on posting about Poland frequently. This will serve as an introduction to the beautiful country of my ancestors.

Ever since I was one and a half years old, I've spent every summer in Poland. When I was younger, I would spend the
entire summer there! This summer I was only there for two weeks, but that's because during my month spent in Europe this summer, I traveled to many other places (which will be featured in the near future :))

My mother's side of the family is from a little town called Krajenka in the western part of Poland, about 200 miles from the border of Poland and Germany! While the road system in Poland is the second worst (if I'm not mistaken) in Europe, the drive to Germany is actually pretty good, especially once you hit the autobahn in Germany haha. I did it this summer, it was quite enjoyable.

Although Poland has larger cities such as Warszawa, Kraków, and Gdańsk, it's the rural areas that hold the most appeal for me. I'm not sure if that sentence makes sense...

Another one of my most commonly used phrases:

"I can't speak English."

So these are just some artistic pictures of mine...I try.

Now, a lot of people complain that it rains often in Poland. In one of my history classes, the professor asked if anyone had ever been. Some smart-alec raised her hand and said "Yes, I have. The weather there is awful. It was raining the entire time." Besides the urge to punch her...I couldn't help but laugh. 'Tis true, it rains a lot. The same could be said for Boston...

But...
"The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain." Right?

:))))))
